We have made one response to the National Assembly for Wales Committee set up to discuss this proposal and one response to the Welsh Affairs Committee who will be discussing the issue at Westminster (January 2008).

Free home care in Wales - On 15 February 2006 the Welsh Assembly Government announced that it was unable to honour its longstanding pledge to introduce free homecare for disabled people. The decision not to implement the policy centred on concerns that the policy could not be introduced 'affordably and equitably'.
