Commission for Social Care Inspection

To make a complaint: 0845 015 0120

The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) regulates care homes and inspects every care home registered by them. Any registered care provider must, by law, have a complaints procedure. Services have rules about the staff they employ and the standards of care they provide. If you would like to make a complaint about a care home, contact the number above.

Advocacy

Contact your local Age Concern office who may have an advocacy service or can signpost to one in the local area.

Sometimes the interests of the person who has experienced abuse can be overlooked, if they are unable to speak out for themselves. Advocacy services can help support an individual older person and ensure their wishes are central to the process of resolving the abusive situation.
